Shih-Tzu

Generally, this dog has a nimble nature, very alert, smart, and have a good emotion but also arrogant. Formerly this dog was reared by a royal family in Manchu Dynasty, China. When this dog spread to Europe, many nobles took care of it as a pet. Shih-Tzu is a companion dog, a human friend who belongs to an animal that likes to socialize.

History
Shih-Tzu is one of several types of lion dogs whose ancestors were developed in China in the year 1000. The ancestors of the modern Shih-Tzu are thought to be brought to China from Tibet or central Asia. This dog has a place of honor in the Chinese royal court in the Manchurian dynasty. After the dynasty's downfall in 1911, Shih-Tzu continued to be reared outside the working palaces by Chinese society and foreign migrants.

The first Shih-Tzu was brought from China to the West in the late 1920s and early 1930s. This dog race is believed to have disappeared from China after communism came to power as a symbol of wealth, privilege and costly resources. All the current Shih-Tzu are derived from the 13th dog imported into England, Ireland, Norway and Sweden from China. In 1952, Elfreda Evans crossed the Shih-Tzu with pure white Pekines race in England.

Description
This dog has a height of about 28cm, weighing 4-7kg. The dog's fur is found in a variety of colors and patterns, but white and gold are the most common colors. The fur on the body looks solid and luxurious and straight or slightly wavy. In Shih-Tzu women, there are certain times where the fur may be thin due to hormonal changes, usually in the period prior to menstruation. The dog's nose is wide with open nostrils. Adult Shih-Tzu can adapt easily to new owners and neighborhoods. This dog has not demonstrated its physical predicament and physicality before the age of three.

Health information
These dogs can be kept indoors and include dogs that are sensitive to heat. Health problems that are vulnerable to this dog include ear infections, eyes, respiratory problems, and tooth loss at an early age. Shih-Tzu can easily gain weight so that the feeding should be arranged so as not to overdo it. Age of this dog can reach 15 more years.
